Elevating digital storytelling for Wired’s 25th anniversary

To celebrate WIRED’s 25th anniversary, I led the effort to design and build a completely reimagined digital experience for one of the most tech-savvy audiences in the world. The objective was to create a mobile flagship that could seamlessly house deep-read magazine content while doubling as a high-utility hub for the brand’s global event series. We focused on building a brand experience that pushed the boundaries of traditional publishing, fusing long-form journalism with breaking news, podcasts, and experimental storytelling models.
The resulting GetWIRED app served as a multi-functional ecosystem and the official digital concierge for the 25th Anniversary Celebration in San Francisco. We integrated a comprehensive event suite featuring live agendas, speaker bios, and an interactive, augmented reality-powered map to guide attendees through the physical space. Beyond the utility of the event, the app featured an experimental section dedicated to immersive stories brought to life through emerging media technologies.
